The Stories We Tell Ourselves

The Stories We Tell Ourselves

As a documentary filmmaker and podcaster I’ve spent my entire career telling stories. Stories are powerful. Stories can teach, they can heal and they can help people feel they are not alone in their struggles.

The most powerful stories, however, are not the ones that we watch on TV or listen to on a podcast. The most powerful stories are the ones that we tell ourselves about ourselves. Every. Single. Day.

What is the ANtidote to Fear and Anger?

The answer is GRATITUDE!

Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful.  - Buddha

What are you grateful for people?! Thinking about it and naming, feels SO good and will shift your perspective instantly :)

The Five Love Languages

There are 5 Love Languages. 5 different ways to express love. ❤️

-Words of Affirmation - Quality Time - Gifts - Acts of Service - Physical Touch-

Each one of us has a "primary love language" - it is the one that fills us up the most. And knowing what it is for both you and those closest to you can be a key to receiving the type of love you need and also being able to nurture your relationships with the love that they want.
